GENERATIVE METHODS - AI as collaborator and companion in the social sciences and humanities

The advent of generative AI, such as large language models, chat bots, and text-to-image generation, has presented both opportunities and challenges for society. This conference seeks to explore the multifaceted impact of generative AI as instruments and objects of research.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We have reached full capacity, please sign up for a waiting list at ssh-masshine@aau.dk and you will be contacted if any available spots open up

Come and join us in discussing questions such as:

How will generative models impact our understanding of data, analysis, and research ethics? What novel forms of research communication and stakeholder engagement could emerge? What technical and conceptual interventions will be necessary to repurpose them for different epistemic traditions? And how do we audit or establish rapport with them?

Practical information

Participation in the conference is free of charge, but registration is necessary.

At the evening on Thursday December 7 there is a self-paid conference dinner, which costs 800 DKK (app. €110) to attend.

The dinner will include the opportunity to network with all the attendees, presenters and of course keynote speakers
